Welcome!

I  am a co-host of the Radio Westeros podcast (support us here!) a book lover who’s spent most of my adult life sharing good books with people in any way I can, a student of history, and a writer. George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series is my focus here, with areas of interest including R+L=J, the Great Northern Conspiracy, Sansa Stark, Arthurian parallels in ASoIaF, character analysis and a variety of other topics. I consult all of  GRRM’s published works in my research, and occasionally reference unpublished sample chapters from The Winds of Winter. If you don’t care for spoilers, considered yourself warned!

  1. There’s a problem. Ever since the podcasts began I’ve been trying to get on yolkboy’s site to read his essays but the page doesn’t appear at all in my browser. It loads completely but is always completely blank. Is there some other place where I can read his essays?

  2. Radio Westeros is far and away the best ASoIaF podcast I have listened to. Fantastic and well researched information and I appreciate the unique style with which you and Yolkboy deliver it in. Thank you very much for all your efforts.

  3. Such an excellent podcast. Possibly my favorite and I listen to History of Westeros, so thats saying something. The chemistry between hosts is unparalleled. Only downfall is the monthly releases. How can we make this more frequent??

    • Thanks so much Tom! Because of the level of research and production we put in, we average about thirty minutes of content per week. It would be hard to improve upon that without quitting our day jobs, something that sadly isn’t in the offing just yet 😉
But, as long as we have enthusiastic listeners we’ll continue with an episode every 3-4 weeks.
      Thanks again for the comment!
      Cheers-
      LG

  4. Found your podcast through History of Westeros and I just wanted to say that I am loving it. I really admire and appreciate the depth that you and Yolkboy put into your analysis and I’m sure it takes quite a bit of work. I feel like I am aware of so many aspects of asoiaf that I missed before by listening to your podcast. Looking forward to future episodes!

  5. Thank you so much for your podcast! Discovered it a few months ago and have now listened to every podcast a few times. I love your thorough and balanced analysis. I eagerly await each episode, keep up the amazing work.

  6. I try to check your podcast for a new episode every few weeks to try and catch it on the day a new episode comes out. Let’s just say these next few weeks leading up to the season 6 premiere I will be checking daily. Keep up the great work!

  7. This is my favorite GOT podcast, I appreciate your input I the book to show episodes. Everyone has very solid opinions/theories and your book knowledge is second to none. Keep up the excellent work and your hair is to die for!

  8. In one of the episodes I listened to, it was said that you find Jon Snow following the King Arthur theme. I am a bit of an Arthurian historian and find a fair bit of Arthuriana in GoT. I would love to hear an episode based on such as well as other parts of history that GRRM uses, like the seven kingdoms comeing from the seven Saxon kingdoms of old and the Welsh, as well as the war of the roses. If we could talk as well about the same subject I would enjoy it. Thank you and I hope this finds you well.
